GR300 | This Lower tensile, higher ductility, plain, carbon steel is for the reinforcing of concrete and available as plain and deformed bars. This steel meets the demanding requirements of the seismic structural design methods employed in New Zealand as required by the reinforcing steel standard AS/NZS 4671:2001 Fiji has adopted the AS/NZS 4671 based on its geographical positioning and endorsed as FJS 4671:2003. Grade 300 steel is readily weld-able (refer AS/NZS 1554.3), identifiable by registered bar marks, hot and cold bent (for procedures refer to NZS 3109), threaded and galvanized. |
* Domestic application * Projects where specifically noted by Engineers |
GR500 H/T | High tensile, higher ductility, plain carbon steel is for the reinforcing of concrete and available as plain and deformed bars. This steel meets the demanding requirements of the seismic structural design methods employed in New Zealand as required by the reinforcing steel standard AS/NZS 4671:2001. Fiji has adopted the AS/NZS 4671 based on its geographical positioning and endorsed as FJS 4671:2003. This reinforcing derives its superior strength and ductility by icroalloying the steel with small vanadium additions. Grade 500E MA steel is readily weld-able (refer AS/NZS 1554.3), identifiable by registered bar marks, hot and cold bent (for procedures refer to NZS 3109), threaded and galvanized. | * For commercial application only where projects are specifically designed by Engineers. * For construction of structures which are higher than 2 levels. |
